Nature Walk

Nature   Walk.

Packed all the food

Put on my shoes.

I feel like a ball bouncing

Up and down because I am so excited.

Maia my mate is traveling with me

Along with my brother, Louie.

I see colors of green and brown,

Hearing bubbly bird’s bubbling,

And I feel calm and stunned about

How beautiful nature can really be.

We ate food, strawberries dipped

in chocolate. Yum!

Walked to the river, dived in.

Hurt my shin. Ouch!

Off back home to tell my mates.

Off back home, it’s going to be late.

Reflection: I think I could have used more level three words. I felt like I did really well though.

WALT: Write a poem with two poetic tools.

Reflection: I could found better Level 3 words for this one but I guess this is the first one this term I have done.

The message in the bottle

The cold ocean hit his face.

The cold ocean has a nice pace.

Driving into the ocean to clear his mind.

Driving into the ocean. He got a fright.

Bang! Hit his head on a glass bottle.

He felt confused for he had never seen a bottle in the ocean before.

He opened the bottle to find a letter.

Dear somebody,

My kids and I a trapped please save.

We’re in on an island in a cave.

We are dehydrated like a camel and have no food or water.  
We are as hungry as a shark. S.O.S. Save our souls.
